Your Adventure Begins Here
Welcome, Teachers
We’re genuinely glad you found us. Whether you stumbled across TeacherPlanetAsia in a late-night Google search, had a friend point you our way, or have been quietly dreaming about teaching overseas for years — welcome. You’re in the right place.
“Teaching abroad isn’t just a career move — it’s the beginning of a story you’ll tell for the rest of your life.”
This blog is where we share everything we know about building a meaningful, rewarding teaching career across Southeast Asia: honest advice, country guides, classroom tips, visa updates, salary breakdowns, and the occasional story that reminds you why you made the leap in the first place.

Who We Are
TeacherPlanet Asia was built by teachers, for teachers. Our team has lived and worked across Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Türkiye and beyond. We know what it’s like to arrive in a new country with a bag of hopes and a stack of TEFL certificates, not quite sure what comes next.
We created this platform because we wished something like it had existed when we were starting out. Our mission is straightforward: connect great teachers with great opportunities across Asia, and give you the knowledge to thrive once you get there.
Why Teach in Southeast Asia?
Southeast Asia — and Thailand in particular — has become one of the most sought-after destinations for teachers from around the world. The reasons are as varied as the people who come: a lower cost of living that lets you actually save money, a vibrant culture that never gets boring, warm communities that genuinely welcome educators, and a growing demand for English instruction that shows no signs of slowing.
But beyond the practicalities, there’s something harder to quantify: the feeling of waking up in a country that still surprises you. Of building relationships that cross languages and cultures. Of knowing your work matters — because access to quality English education is genuinely life-changing for the students you teach.
